Somatic Sessions

What is “somatic”?

Somatic refers to being of the body. In the health and wellness world it is referencing not only the body, but the mind-body connection and how these two human components work together, particularly in healing trauma and overcoming mental and physical dis-ease. Somatization is the manifestation of our thoughts and emotions (the mind) in the physical body — tension, tightness, pain that can arise when are suffering from a traumatic or taxing experience.

Many trauma survivors experience a disconnect from their mind and/or body due to the experience being stored in the body. It is an identification to our trauma and a holding on to the experience/s that traumatized us. Through these somatic sessions we will work together to get to the roots of where this trauma lives in our bodies using both yogic principles and somatic knowledge & practices. These sessions are curated and tailored to your exact needs, paced for you to move steadily & sacredly, and designed to help you become educated, empowered and resourced to finding your path to Liberation through Regulation tools and self-awareness.
